Photography Competition Update

We are halfway through the year and what a year it has been. Days seem to be going by as quick as the images in a flicker book, but it’s been wonderful during this time to see the images you have been taking for our photography competition. So, as we are halfway through the year, we thought it would be a great idea to look back on some of the amazing photographs we have seen so far and hopefully inspire those who haven’t already done so to enter.

We have received some beautiful images from landscapes to close ups of wildlife, from heritage railways to people walking their dogs. They have all really captured the spirit of the South Pennines Park and the people who live there.

Here are our winners so far.

“It’s amazing how much wildlife we have on our doorstep. You can’t expect a perfect photo every time because wildlife is unpredictable, but when you do it’s amazing.” Gemma (January Winner)

“I try and concentrate on what’s happening around me and pay attention to those special moments like this photography.” Deborah (February Winner)

“It is ‘my’ park, I have spent many, many hours walking over the countryside in the area since being very young and I still do a lot of walking there today.” Chris (March Winner)

“I enter the competition every month because I’m so proud of where I’m from. For me, the region is young and it’s finding itself again.” Jack (April & June Winner)

“My advice to any other budding photographer would be to keep it up and enter the South Pennines Park photography competition. You never know what might happen!” Jane (May Winner)

If you are inspired to send in your pictures, then here is how to enter.
