Standing on the shoulders of giants: the irresistible legacy of the South Pennines Park
The South Pennines Park launched September 2021 and has been coming home for around 70 years. For over six decades the Park has been “standing on the shoulders of giants”, the people who find the landscape irresistible, and have rightly believed it should be recognised as an alternative national park for its northern character, culture, heritage and beauty.
